already i've had such a great response to this project. i'm excited to get the ball rolling. this is going to be one giant think tank... but a tank like at the aquarium! good to see people on board. can't wait to see what the future brings.

Step right up....
Welcome to The Song Project (that's more of a working title mind you). This project stemmed from an idea a friend had. She passed the project on to me and I guess I wound up sprinkling miracle grow on it.
The original idea was to do a series of photos inspired by Tori Amos songs... I had planned to follow with the idea. Then I decided ,with as many wonderful songs out there and so many great artists, why not do as many as possible.
So folks... my plan is to do a photography project inspired by song. Each photo will be drawn from and based off of different songs by a wide variety of artists.
For the time being this is just local (In and around the Atlanta area). Until I get my private jet, this is how it has to be.
What I need from everyone is input and people to model. I need ideas. I need anyone who wants to contribute. Whether there is just a song you'd like to see photographed, you'd like to model for pictures, or both.
Even if you'd just like to help with the brainstorming process and be part of an amazing project.
In the past I've done so many things that have been primarily ego driven. This is about everyone.
What I'm hoping to do is come up with amazing photos. And later on perhaps do an exhibit of them.
I also want to attempt to sell these photos, either in a show or via the internet. I have decided that all proceeds from the sales will go to various charities. I really want to give back with this project.
So now I'm going to start a sort of "casting call". These aren't auditions, and I'd like to photograph anyone and everyone.
A friend of mine got so excited and asked if she could do more than one song... I told her she could do as many as she wanted. Of course that all depends upon time and schedule permitting.
So now I want your ideas. Not only your ideas but your lovely faces. This is your chance to be part of something that I hope is going to be brilliant.

I'm not requiring people who contribute ideas to be in the pictures, but I'd certainly prefer that.
I want us all to work together to create something to truly be proud of. And not only that, but to give back and help out humanity by giving back!
My ultimate goal is to do this on a much larger scale. I know so many people all over and would like to photograph them someday too!
